The last time I worked for this college was in March 2020 right before everything got shut down.. It felt great to be back!
Drew some Digital Caricatures for Cash-Wa Distributing Trade Show in Kearney Nebraska.
It was a fun event with good people and good food! They set me up at the end of a slow lane to
draw foot traffic to booths that typically don't get the foot traffic. It worked like a charm!!! People would see others wearing their Caricatures/lanyards and they would direct them down the slow lane. Creating more foot traffic for everyone!
Had a last minute gig happen Yesterday at Stillwater Motors, They were celebrating 100 years in the family business going back four generations. Thank you Cavitt Productions for sharing your photos.
Had a fun project to work on this week! This company hired me to create a poster of their CEO as greek gods for their upcoming meet in the Bahamas . It was hand drawn & colored with procreate then put together in photoshop.
I love working from life! You have to work fast and it keeps your work fresh.
However this year, 2020 I drew college events at home using jot form for the student images. I used a timer to keep from getting to detailed.
Here is my Apple Pencil all decked out with gauze & sports tape. A few years ago while I was working Trade Shows I started wrapping my pencil, It’s so much easier on your hand when you’ve been drawing all day.
Everything has changed yet some things stay the same! This is a technique I learned in the early 1990’s when I was drawing caricatures at an Amusement Park in MN with a pencil
Your hand would be ready to fall off after a 12 hour day, wrapping it really helped.
I think Vet Tape works the best, just out of it at the moment.

Here is a fun caricature I drew a few years back for a Trade Show in Denver. I had pre drawn & printed the Bronco Theme so it was just adding in their head and upper body.
In March I drew digital caricatures at Fond Du Lac College near Duluth MN. We were able to connect their huge monitor to the iPad so the whole lunch room could watch as the caricatures are being created.
